Msc Statistics NCSU – Mech Interp for Biology!

Good day! I am interested in uncovering how language models represent biological sequences like DNA and proteins, and how we can leverage these representations for generation and uncertainty-quantified prediction. More broadly, I want to understand how LLMs develop and use generalized concepts, whether it be an “assistant axis”, “x greater than y” or “all sequences that correspond to a transcription factor”.

I’m doing my Masters with the Jungem Kim lab and the EnBiSys lab at NC State. In my free time, I really love gardening, botanizing, and rock climbing.

Gave my talk, Understanding Cross Species Generalization in a Plant DNA LLM at the AI in Agriculture Conference.

Presented my poster, Enabling Conversational Data Science in Plant Breeding through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and BrAPI at the AI in Agriculture Conference.

Started my Masters at NC State.
